At CustomsCity, the security and integrity of your data are our highest priority. As part of our ongoing efforts to protect your account, we will be implementing an additional security requirement.
Starting November 1st, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will be mandatory for all user logins. This means that, in addition to your password, you will be required to enter a time-based verification code generated by an authenticator app.
What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication enhances account security by requiring a unique verification code along with your password at each login.
A 6-digit code is generated by an authenticator app on your phone or computer and updates every 30 seconds.
With 2FA enabled, your account remains secure even if someone obtains your login credentials, as access requires your authentication device
How to Set It Up
To activate 2FA, download an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device or desktop.
How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication
When you log in after November 1st:
1. A new window will appear displaying a QR code.
2. Scan this QR code using your preferred Authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator).
3. Your authenticator app will generate a one-time code
4. Enter this code to complete the And click on continue
5. Once verified, you will receive a recovery code. Please store it in a safe place, it can be used to access your account if your device is unavailable.
Next, check the box to confirm that you have securely recorded the code, and click Continue to proceed to the regular login page.
