What is the CBP Manifest Query Functionality?

Manifest Query is a feature designed to allow users to query manifest information from the CBP AMS (Automated Manifest System) or ACE (Automated Commercial Environment). This query will return real-time information that has already been filed in CBP’s system by carriers & freight forwarders to obtain details such as date of arrival, ports of arrival, manifested quantity, house details, and more.

Who Can Use the Manifest Query Functionality?

Users that can benefit from the Manifest query tool are Customs Brokers, NVOCCs, MVOCs, Freight Forwarders, Importers, Warehouses, and all types of users that could find this data crucial for tracking and monitoring the movement of goods throughout the supply chain.

Transaction Accuracy

Filers will find the Manifest Query tool useful to prevent discrepancies between their manifests and the ones filed by the carriers. Having access to bill quantity, vessel names, and voyage numbers and ensuring added accuracy and preventing mismatch of data filed at the Master or House bill level.

Message History Available

Users can choose to limit or expand the amount of data returned in a query by selecting to receive only the most recent notifications, the five most recent notifications or all available notifications for the queried transaction

You can query MAWB, HAWB, Bill of Lading (Truck, Ocean & Rail), In-Bond Numbers and Entry Numbers

Can I query an Entry Number if I’m an importer using Manifest Query?

No, only Customs Brokers can run Manifest Query on their own Entry Numbers

Can I download the data received in the Manifest Query?

Yes, you have three different options to export data, summary print, detailed print and .csv

For querying a BOL, do I need to enter the SCAC code?

Correct, all BOL queries (Truck, Ocean & Rail) should contain the SCAC code at the beginning of the BOL

What information is visible in the manifest query?

Specific data about a certain BOL, dates, times, manifested information, voyage, ports of arrival, dummy houses for air shipments and all disposition codes received.

Does it take long to set up my account for Manifest Query?

No, it takes a couple of minutes to set up the account and you can start using it right away.
